Woodworm
Woodworm are seasonal pests that can strike flooring and roof timbers, with the life cycle of the grub between two and four years, and beetle emergence between June and August each year. They can cause serious damage to internal and external timber, leading to structural weaknesses if left untreated.
If you suspect woodworm, the first step is to arrange an inspection to see if the infestation is active, and check for any related problems such as rot or damp. Treatment will depend on the woodworm species.
